Michael created the Healthcare Buying Group after reviewing the limited amount of free purchasing expertise available within the healthcare sector.

Michael has an extensive procurement and sales background working previously within the NHS, charity local government and retail and previously operating as Head of Purchasing for Leonard Cheshire Disability as well as CEO of the Charities Buying Group , Michael is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Supply and a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. With this depth of experience and knowledge, Michael is very capable of helping healthcare providers not only to understand commercial challenges but in resolving problems and more importantly helping them to reduce expenditure.

Neil Lewis CIPS

Neil is a Member of The Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply and has an extensive procurement and planning background with experience of purchasing a wide variety of goods and services.

He joined the HBG from The English Churches Housing Association, where he was Head of Purchasing for a department, servicing and supplying a number of different schemes. Based on his experience, he can offer free advice and direction to any member of the HBG with the aim of helping them achieve their cost saving targets.

Graham Loftus

Graham’s sales and marketing expertise coupled to his practical approach to conducting business, ensures members receive all the help and encouragement they require to make sensible and cost effective purchasing decisions.

Graham has experience in service, sales and general management. He has operated his own business for many years as a self employed Manufacturers’ Agent, and latterly became National Account Manager for a major manufacturer of capital equipment, supplying most of the largest high street retailers, major care home groups and many NHS hospital trusts.
